Pierre Chandon

Pierre ChandonPierre Chandon is the L’Oréal Chaired Professor of Marketing, Innovation and Creativity at the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France, and the Director of the INSEAD Sorbonne University Behavioral Lab in Paris. He teaches brand management in the MBA, EMBA, and executive education programs.

Prior to joining INSEAD, DrChandon was a faculty member of the London Business School and of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also held visiting positions at Kellogg, Wharton, and Harvard Business School.

DrChandon’scurrent research focuses on innovative solutions to keep food marketing—particularly in package and portion design and size —from making people fat ,while preserving commercial goals and eating enjoyment.

His research has been the subject of media coverage worldwide and he is widely published in international peer-review marketing journals, receiving the best article award from the Journal of Consumer Research in 2010 and in 2014. He is also the author of numerous award-wining case studies.

DrChandon is a member of the External Scientific Advisory Council on Health and Wellness of the Consumer Goods Forum, a global industry network that brings together 400 retailers, manufacturers, and service providers from 70 countries; a member of the Institute of Cardiometabolism and Nutrition, and is currently on the editorial boards of numerous marketing journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Recherche et Applications en Marketing, Cahiers de Nutrition et de Diététique, and International Journal of Research in Marketing.

He holds a PhD in marketing from HEC Paris and an MS in Business Administration from ESSEC.
